Bible Studies Make lasting friendships and gain a deeper understanding of the Bible by joining one of the Bible study groups that are available at First Presbyterian Church. Prayer Groups Circle of Friends, an intercessory prayer group, meets Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Lunch is after the meeting. Prayer Keepers is a group of women that meets every Monday at 5:30 p.m. to share thoughts, something read, or what God has revealed. Things shared in the group stays in the group! No obligation to pray out loud. The Golden Opportunity Club "The G.O.C.," is open to persons 50 years of age and older. Spouses are welcome regardless of age. Sponsored by the Church but is open to all members of the community. |
Dinners For Eight Groups of eight meet on a regular basis and take turns hosting dinner for the rest of the group. The hosting home provides the main dish and others bring a salad, a vegetable or a dessert. It's a "delicious" way to get to know new friends and visit with old friends. Small Groups Get into a small group that meets your needs for in-depth Bible study, fun, and fellowship. Contact Pastor Dave Mihocko to find a group in your area. Visual Arts Team This group of creative people enjoys participating in art projects to benefit the Church and is responsible for maintaining the many art exhibits on display at First Presbyterian. Euchre Join the Euchre group as a substitute or a regular player. We play on the second Saturday night of each month from September through May. Individuals and couples are welcome! Travel Opportunities Oberammergau, German Passion Play 2010. This world-renowned play started in 1634 when the dwindling number of villagers promised to reenact the life of Jesus every 10 years if God would spare them from the bubonic plague. |
