Come As You Are - All Are Welcome

Music opportunities

At First Presbyterian, God is praised in a variety of ways through music and Worship.

Our music ranges from hymns and anthems of our traditional heritage, to contemporary praise songs, choruses, and inspiring instrumentals.

  • Westminster Choir

Westminster Choir is a mixed choral ensemble open to all singers, ages 14 and up.  We are a group that loves to sing together as we serve the First Presbyterian Church of Brighton.  We sing two to three Sundays a month, September through June.  We rehearse on Wednesday evenings, 7:30-9:00 pm in the NOSH (New Old Sanctuary Hall).  Come and join us, we’d love to have you!

  • Sanctuary Ringers

Sanctuary Ringers is a group that is open to adult ringers.  We serve the congregation through our love of music and the art of ringing handbells.  We rehearse on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm in the NOSH.  We’d love to have new members, come join us!

  • Choristers

Choristers is a youth choir program open to kids, grades K-6.  We share our praises and serve through song and movement.   We meet on Wednesday evenings during the school year from 5:00-5:30 pm.  Our weekly times together include singing, movement, music listening games and fun!  The chorister program is always open to new members, come and sing with us!

  • Praise Band

The contemporary praise band provides music weekly for our Unified Worship Service at 10 am.  We rehearse on Thursdays 7-8 pm.  We are a group of musicians ages 14-adults that love to sing, play guitar, drums or keys.  This group shares a wide variety of music (blues, rock, folk and alternative) during the worship service.  Come and make music with us!
