Come As You Are - All Are Welcome
welcome to student ministry at fpcb!
Our student ministry programs meet the unique needs of 6th-12th graders as they explore their faith. By encouraging a growing relationship with Jesus, we hope that our youth come to know the following:
You are loved.
Your faith matters.
You belong in this community of faith.
Confirmation
Elevate Together is our student worship night, where we gather for a fantastic time of fun, games, and, of course, worship. Whether we're playing a thrilling game of dodgeball, enjoying delicious snacks, or singing, we embrace the opportunity to worship while having a blast!
Youth Retreats
Each winter, we take a group of middle and high school students to participate in Spring Hill Winter Retreats. These weekend retreats are packed with prayer, worship, and a ton of fun activities like broomball, tubing, paintball, horseback riding, laser tag, high ropes course, crafts, games and more! Registration for Springhill is due in December and the retreat dates typically fall in mid-January to early February.
Youth Mission Trip
Every summer, students entering 9th grade through graduating seniors have the option of participating in the Youth Mission Trip. The mission trip is a week-long trip focused on serving local communities or participating in service projects in other states. Service typically includes construction projects, helping with children’s programming, and community clean up and service opportunities. Along with the work, there are times for worship, small and large group discussion, and devotional time.

Sundays at 10AM
Youth Bible Study
Youth Bible Study (6th-12th) takes place every Sunday except the 1st & 5th Sunday of the month at 10AM downstairs in A-Level, our youth space. Students will gather for a game and icebreaker, and then spend time studying God’s Word together.
All Students and Friends Welcome
Youth Nights & Service Days
Youth Nights typically take place on the 1st Sunday of the month at varying times. Come for a time of fellowship and fun! Locations and times for these events will vary, so please make sure to check the current schedule.
Throughout the year, there will also be different opportunities to serve and volunteer in our community. These service days are a great way for students to put their faith into action and serve others together.
Be sure to follow our Instagram for activities and details on how to get involved!

Confirmation
Confirmation is the process of helping students 8th grade and older take ownership of their faith by going through classes with the pastors and adult leaders. Youth will learn about what it means to be a Christian, about the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), and what it means to be a part of our local church here in Brighton. They will understand and be able to answer the following four questions:
- Trusting in the gracious mercy of God, do you turn from the ways of sin and renounce evil and its power in the world?
- Who is your Lord and Savior?
- Will you be Christ's faithful disciple, obeying His Word and showing His love?
- Will you devote yourself to the church's teaching and fellowship to the breaking of bread and the prayers?
We currently use the curriculum Big God Big Questions from the PC(USA). Students and mentors grow in faith together over the course of multiple sessions, including a service project and confirmation retreat.
The next Confirmation Class is scheduled for Winter 2027. For more information, please contact Pastor Alli Webb.

Projects typically include construction, children’s programming, community clean-up, and other service opportunities. Along the way, students also participate in worship, small and large group discussions, and devotional time.
The location is announced each fall, with registration closing in December. Fundraising and preparation begin in January. We view this preparation as an extension of the mission itself, as many fundraisers also serve the community. This year-round experience helps students build relationships, develop a service mindset, and prepare to effectively serve the community they’ll visit in the summer.
Students often cite the mission trip as a favorite part of student ministry. It’s an opportunity to grow personally, form lifelong friendships, and strengthen their relationship with God.
more opportunities
We believe students grow beyond worship and weekly Bible study. Here are a few more ways students can get involved, grow, and experience faith together!
